Project
The clubs collected feathers go to a worthy
project, The image is of the Zuni Harvest Dance that is how the Pueblo
Indians in northern Arizona use the collected Feathers. The
Macaw feathers are distributed to the New Mexican Pueblo
villages of Zuni, Acoma, Chochiti, Kewa and Santa Ana as well to the
Hopi in Northern Arizona. You will note these are the center tail
feathers of the Macaws, other feathers other than Macaw feathers go to
Native American groups in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Oklahoma
to make ceremonial fans and decorate drums and other ritual objects.
